Looking after your garments
Care Instructions
The finest cloth deserves thoughtful care. Follow these guidelines to ensure your Hedone garments remain in excellent condition for years to come.
Shirts
- Machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, or hand wash.
- Use a mild, colour-safe detergent. Avoid bleach.
- Do not tumble dry — hang or lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
- Iron on medium heat while slightly damp. Use a pressing cloth on delicate fabrics.
- Store folded or on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain the collar shape.
Trousers
- Dry clean recommended for structured trousers.
- If machine washing, use a cool, delicate cycle and turn inside out.
- Hang to dry on a trouser hanger — never wring or tumble dry.
- Press with a damp cloth and iron on the reverse to avoid shine.
- Store on a trouser hanger or folded along the crease to preserve shape.
Suits & Coats
- Dry clean only — do not machine wash structured garments.
- Air your suit after each wear before storing — never put it away damp.
- Use a quality suit brush to remove surface dust and lint.
- Store on a wide, shaped hanger in a breathable garment bag.
- Allow at least one day's rest between wearings to let the fibres recover.
- Steam rather than iron to remove light creasing.
Linen & Summer Fabrics
- Hand wash or machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle.
- Linen will soften and improve with each wash — do not be afraid to wear it.
- Line dry or lay flat; do not tumble dry.
- Iron while damp on a medium-hot setting — linen responds well to heat.
A note on dry cleaning
While dry cleaning is recommended for many of our structured pieces, excessive dry cleaning can degrade natural fibres over time. We suggest cleaning only when necessary — regular airing, brushing and pressing will keep your garments fresh between cleans.
